Renaming a chat thread manually

1. Click on the chat thread title you want to rename.

2. Click the pen button (✎) next to the chat thread title to start editing.

   

3. Edit the title directly in the text field.

   

4. Click the check button (✔) to save your changes or the X button (✖) to discard them.

   

Auto-generating a smart title

1. Click the sparkle button (✨) next to the chat title.

   

2. Storytell will generate a contextually relevant title based on your conversation content.

   • The auto-generated title considers both your question and Storytell’s response.

   • It creates titles that accurately reflect the topic or insight of the chat.

3. If you want a different suggestion, click the sparkle button again to regenerate titles and choose the one that fits best.

Why this matters

• Good titles help you quickly find the conversation you need.

• Prevents confusion from generic titles like "New Chat" or repetitive entries.

• Especially useful when forking conversations, as it makes multiple related threads easier to navigate.
