How to Upload Files

You can upload files in any of the following ways:

  • Click the paperclip icon on the bottom left of the prompt bar.

  • Hover over the Upload button just below the prompt bar, then click to open your file browser.

  • Drag and drop files directly from your computer into the chat interface.

Storytell supports a wide range of file types. View the full list of supported formats: Supported File Types and Formats

What Happens Next

Once you’ve added the file(s):

  • You’ll see them added to the top section of the prompt bar — this is where Storytell shows which files are currently in scope for your chat.

  • These files will stay visible throughout the conversation so you can always tell:

    • Which assets you’re chatting with.

    • Where Storytell is pulling answers from.

  • You can upload multiple files, and each one will be consistently shown above the prompt bar as part of your current context.

  • If you want to remove a file from the chat scope, just click the “×” button next to the file name and it will no longer be included as a reference in your conversation.
